Yesterday David Stana received the Readers' Choice Award selecting Silver Star Pictures as the Best Photographer in Frisco for the year 2009. Patty Lankford delivered the award.

We are thrilled to receive this designation and are so grateful to the many customers who took the time to personally select us, write-in our name on the ballot and mail their choice so that we could be recognized.

Please accept our thanks and in appreciation call about the specials we are offering to our loyal customers throughout the coming year. Just returned from a visit to my hometown of Ligoner, PA. Nestled in the Laurel Highlands it is truly a wonderful place to call home. We also visited Michael Redford's studio. What a great person to allow us to tour his studio and take pictures of his facility. Thank you to Michael for his generosity and kindness.

We are now scheduling sessions for Mother's Day portraits. Mother's Day is just around the corner and our EVENT Division of Silver Star Pictures has very economical packages available. The portraits are taken on a plain white backdrop with a choice of props. Basic packages begin at $25 and we have lots of options and creative ideas for Moms.

We can keep the portraits simple and print on-site or we can have our image artists create something very unique and customized for your special mom!

Children are never too old or too young in Mom's eyes and a portrait of her children is always a special gift.

David captured all the sweetness and purity of my two beautiful grandgirls, which is hard to do when they never stop jumping and running. Denise's easy-going approach quickly put the girls at ease and they practically forgot they were on camera. Her attention to detail shines through in the settings. As a bonus, the pricing of the prints and packages is a true value. Our experience was thoroughly enjoyable and we are looking forward to the next superstar experience.

Live Bunny Photography

We are currently photographing children utilizing our custom garden set and our live bunnies! We are taking appointments through April 11, 2009. Here are some of the children we photographed. They had so much fun!

This photo was taken on an all white background, which is one of the choices we offer during our Spring Sessions.

The Spring Garden portraits have been very popular this year and the children look very sweet!
These sisters have been visiting us for bunny photos for several years! Aren't they beautiful!

Once we had photos with the bunnies we were able to capture the children playing in our garden. They had lots of fun as our photographer managed to capture their sweet nature and beauty.

We work hard not to frustrate children, particularly the very young ones, by photographing them as natural as possible and not forcing them into difficult poses. It takes a little bit more time, but the results are well worth the effort. We get beautiful, natural portraits and the children leave happy!
